The Grange is
licensed for residents and non resident diners, and has an extensive
wine list and choice of drinks, though it has no bar.
Lastingham Grange has been highly recommended by many internationally recognised hotel guides, "Signpost" and Ashley Courtenay's "Let's Halt Awhile" being but two. Harold Champion, writing in the Financial Times about North Yorkshire, said of the Grange "the best hotel of the whole tour, an ideal spot to spend the a week-end in utter peace and enjoying fine country fare"
